A lot of the older restaurants in Hollywood and Las Vegas have a claim of being “World Famous.” This comes from being unintended background for dozens of movies and television shows constantly being shot in their general location. The few and truly famous are those places where celebrities frequent and screen time is no accident.
The Peppermill in Las Vegas is one of the most famous, as honored in a scene from the classic film Casino. Today, The Peppermill is in an area of Vegas that is in much need of some TLC, but the restaurant is still packed, and often with a few famous Vegas faces like Penn & Teller stopping by for a bite.
Have you ever been to a restaurant that claimed to be “World Famous”? What is the most famous restaurant you have eaten at?
